A
few months back I reviewed the first volume of this compilation.
Now Thundering Records strikes back with the second
volume of "Welcome to our Nightmare" compilation
CD.
This
time the label included a little bit more extreme stuff but
also with some videos from bands like Skyward,
Distress, Amethyste, DSK,
Outcast and Krisendom. Now back
to the music, this CD begins with a track from Arkhan,
this band comes from Switzerland and give us their personal
vision of death metal, while they combine the old school with
the modern sound of death metal.
After
that the first French band comes and Fleshdoll give
us a really extreme and brutal version of death metal and
imagine that these guys are really young and they have the
future in their feet while Amethyste are a little bit
more technical and combine some influences from Morbid
Angel and really interesting guitar solos.
So
the first three bands, was mostly in the death metal scene
and for the rest ones we have a different point of view, because
Amartia, give us their personal vision of atmospheric
/ progressive metal with very impressive female vocals. From
Amartia I had heard their full length album and I believe
they deserve your attention.
Generally
I can say that this sampler is more for the fans of extreme
metal and especially death metal.
