LO news
Columbus,Ohio thrash metallers Further Lo
have announced the addition of guitarist Donnie
Davis to the group's ranks. "His awesome
solid rhythm playing and solos convinced us that
he is the man for the job!" the band writes
in a statement. The groups adds, "Donnie was
one of the original members of the band and is
very exited to be rejoining Further Lo. The
excitement is mutual and we are looking forward
to completing the lineup and going on the road."
The band is now scheduling some dates and exploring
tour options and packages. Contact the band or
it's management if you may be interested in working
with Further Lo at the band's Myspace site or
by contacting souldestruction@hotmail.com.
Further Lo recently parted ways with Ryan Coyer
(guitar) due to "personal reasons." Further Lo
wishes Ryan the very best and we know he will
be in another great project very soon.
Further Lo's new CD, 'Unresolved',
is due to be released late 2007 via Power Play
Records so keep a look out and stop by the band's
Myspace site and check out the brand new single
"Catch Hell" and the video for it.

The
Power Play Records family has lost someone near
and dear to our hearts

This
is Jim, owner of Power Play Records. On Wednesday
July 18, 2007 my father passed away from multiple
myeloma cancer. He was my best friend and my hero
and I loved him so dearly. My father fought the
good fight and battled this terrible disease to
the bitter end, but could not overcome the ravaging
effects of this horrible affliction. The doctors
here tried every medical treatment available to
them to combat multiple myeloma cancer, but despite
their best efforts were unable to save his life.
He passed away peacefully at home with our family
by his side.
There is nothing tougher than to lose a loved
one that is so close to you. This has been the
hardest thing I've ever had to deal with and the
most difficult time in my life. I have struggled
to handle all of the overwhelming grief and sadness
that have accompanied my father's death and will
probably be feeling these emotions for a very
long time. I'm sure that many of you have lost
someone dear to you and know the hurt that I am
talking about.
Cancer is a horrible thing and affects countless
individuals each year. I encourage each of you
to help support the cancer societies in your area
with your donations. With more aid and funding
hopefully they will continue to develop better
drugs and treatments for those who are unfortunate
enough to be diagnosed with cancer. With any luck
one day there will be a cure for these diseases
but until that day comes there are a lot of individuals
out there that are depending on the development
of better drugs and newer treatments to extend
their lives. Even if you are unable to make any
monetary contributions, please show your support
by making others aware that cancer affects people
of all ages and that there is a need for more
research and cancer drug development.
Thank you very much in advance for all of your
sympathy and kind words. I will be unavailable
to reply to your messages for a short period of
time, but I thank you for taking the time to read
my message and appreciate all of your support
and friendship.
