Before
some days i had receive a CD with six tracks from Virgin
Island, a rock band who comes from Germany. "...till
the end of days" is the title of this album and it
is a self financed release from Virgin Island. In these
six tracks the band give to us a picture of their music because
in the next thirty minutes Virgin Island offer us a
great taste of melodic rock music with some few progressive
elements. Their compositions are well worked with great ideas
but in the same time so simple tracks that are easily remember
them and i can say that Thomas give another atmosphere
with his keyboards. Also Johnson and Lenz offer
us some really interesting guitar riffs and guitar solos plus
the rhythm section is also really good and last but not least
Ulrike, the female singer who give life to the whole
album with her very nice, charm and full of melodies voice.
Even if the style that Virgin Island wants to play
isn't my cup of tea, i can say that i found some really interesting
things in this release, for example the opening track "Away"
or "Light of Life" were the tracks I enjoyed
most. If you like melodic rock music, then check this band.
