Last
year i had the privilege to review the debut EP from Vanity
Ink "Roadkills". Now the band has sent
me their next release titled "Vanity is a full time
Job", again a self financed release, this time with
five tracks and fifteen minutes in length. First of all i
want to congratulate those responsible for the very good photo
shoot which took place at an airport. Now as far as the music
section, the band has made a step forward, they have taken
all the good things from their previous release, have matured
musically and their compositions are well developed with interesting
ideas and of course you can hear the progress that Vanity
Ink had made through this period. Of course they have
kept this heavy rock feeling with some punk elements and this
combination makes very interesting their music. I remember
that i had really enjoyed their debut work and of course i
like their new one. From the very interesting and catchy opening
track "Living a Dream" to "Downward
bound" and "The drug you want" which
are my favorite tracks. Support this very good band from Finland
and you won't regret it.
