Thronar
comes from Holland and this is their debut album, after
a demo CD who they released it before two years if i am not
mistaken. The band’s debut album has the title "For
Death and Glory" and released through Seven
Kingdoms before two months. The album has nine tracks
and musically Thronar walks in battle metal music paths.
You can see it from the cover of this release, then from the
title too and finally from their songs. But what is battle
metal? Battle metal is basically heavy metal with black metal
vocals and some folk metal elements sometimes. Maybe you will
know the band Turisas, if you know them, then
you will understand more easily the stuff from Thronar.
The compositions are well worked and the band had use some
interesting ideas inside their songs and if their cover would
more professional then we will have a great package, but at
least in the music section the band shows a lot of potential
and i believe they will have a great future if they will continue
to work hard and to make progress. I mean to hear something
better in their next step. If you like battle metal then you
will adore Thronar.
