I
think that this month is the month for the metal scene in
Finland. I have received a lot of stuff from Finnish bands.
This time was the turn for Sunride and their third
album with the title "The End justifies the
means" via People Like You Records,
which released before five months. Musically the band walks
in gothic rock music paths, in the vein of the new Amorphis
and a little bit of Sentenced, but not so metal
like them. Of course they have some aggressive elements in
their album but mostly they have some elements from the Amorphis
in the latest albums mostly. In addition you will be able
to hear some progressive touches from Sunride and this
thing give the another atmosphere to the whole album, because
Sunride aren't another gothic rock band, but also a
gothic / progressive rock act. Sad but true Sentenced
aren't no more active, so maybe Sunride will be the
new rising force from Finland. The fans of Gothic rock check
their album you will be surprised from their stuff. Their
compositions are well worked with interesting ideas and the
production is very good in order to give to the listener the
maximum from the Sunride music.
