Sorrows
Path, is a doom metal Greek band they have more than a
decade history but due to some serious problems they forced
to push back the whole project. For example when the band
had released their debut demo CD, the founder Takis Drakopoulos
died because of a serious brain disease. After this serious
event the members of the band decided to continue and untill
1998 the band was active and they wrote new tracks. The next
two years from 1998 to 2000, all the band members did their
military services and in the rising of the new millennium
the fate struck again. Kostas Salomidis was completely
paralyzed due to a neck problem and for the next five years
he had the courage to fight against this problem and finally
Kostas won this battle and after seven years the band
makes a rehearsal last May and they decided to make a re-master
of their two previous demos. As i said above Sorrows Path
walks in the doom metal paths in the vein of Candlemass
and St. Vitus. So the band did their best with
the sound which was the most important thing with this re-master.
Their compositions even if it about ten years old are well
worked with interesting idea and generally the band has all
the elements that a doom metal fan want to hear. I hope soon
the band will continue to work on new tracks and soon we will
hear from this historical band again because the will of the
musician is above all the diseases.
