Before
few days the new album from Silverstein released through
Victory Records. Actually "Discovering
the Waterfront" is their second album from this Canadian
act. I hadn't the chance to hear the debut album from them,
so i can only say what i hear in this one. The band includes
eleven tracks in their new album and they have dig in the
modern hardcore, with extreme and clean vocals, with some
aggressive and some melodic tunes. Generally the band change
the aggressive / melody often in this album. I think they
follow what all the hardcore bands do. But Silverstein, have
songs which are about three and four minutes mainly and you
can hear that they have work hard to make these compositions
and they have put some interesting ideas inside their songs.
Also the band has a very huge plus and the man behind the
production is Cameron Webb (Motorhead,
Social Distortion, etc) and after this for
sure you will expect a very good production and an enormous
sound quality. So far the band has already shoot the first
video clip for the track "Smile in your sleep"
but i hadn't the chance to see it so far. For the fans of
melodic Hardcore Silverstein is your band, don't miss
them.
