Salamandra
two years ago released their third about through Leviathan
Records. The band comes from the Czech Republic and they
offer us more than an hour of pure melodic power metal with
many elements from atmospheric metal too. The first that impressed
me before hearing their album was the huge booklet which had
20 pages.
Back
to the music. The band uses all the elements from power metal
and has dual male and female vocals, which gives another atmosphere
in their album. Also, the addition of the keyboards made this
album really impressive and powerful.
Their
compositions are well developed with some very good moments
and some clever ideas inside their songs. Even if i am a fan
of power metal and i have heard a lot of albums from this
genre, Salamandra made me like their album from the
beginning because they play music straight from their hearts
and they truly believe that they did their best. Last but
not least the band had used almost perfectly all the melodies
that they have inside their music.
Sorry
but i haven't more words to describe this album, which was
a surprise for me. I didn't expected to hear such an excellent
release this time. I hear this album three days now and i
think it will stay more days in my CD player.
