Early
this year (2005) i had received the first demo CD from Sabinas
Rex, a symponic / epic metal band from United States.
Before 2006 arrived the band sent me their newest demo with
the title "The Legacy of Saints". In this
demo the band has include five tracks and more than twenty
two minutes of music. As i remember i wasn't satisfied from
their debut work, so i was really curious to hear this CD
in order to see if Sabinas Rex had had made a progress.
As i wrote above the band walks in the symphonic / epic metal
paths with some progressive touches inside their music. Generally
their compositions are well worked with interesting ideas
and a mixture of female and male vocals. The male vocals have
a lot of gothic elements but i am still believe that they
should add more the epic metal elements in their music or
they should give more emphasis to the symphonic and progressive
side of their music. All in all, i can say that Sabinas
Rex, had made some steps forward but i believe they can
still write better music. I hope that Sabinas Rex,
will continue to progress with each release.
