Relicon
comes from Finland and it seems that they are a really busy
band, so far they have three demos released including their
newest one which we had a chance to listen to. Their newest
step has the title "Hope Today / wish upon a Star"
and actually is a two track demo CD. This is the first release
that i have had the chance to hear from them, so i don't know
how they sound in their previous works.
I
wish we could hear more tracks and not only these two ones,
but with these songs the band give us some small taste of
their music direction. The demo begins with "Hope
Today" which is a gothic rock song, really easy listening
one and of course with a very good structure. Their second
track is a little bit more "extreme" but generally
i believe that the band walks in the gothic rock paths. Imagine
a light version of Katatonia and Sentenced
and you will have the music from Relicon. I hope next
time the band includes more songs in order to get a better
picture of their music.
