Phantom
Mask comes from Spain and they started back in 1996 with
a different name. Actually they have changed their name three
times so far and have finally decided to keep Phantom Mask.
Here we have their latest release, which is a five track demo
CD which was released back in 2004.
As
I know now the band is almost ready to release their newest
material with the title "The Return". We'll
have more about this release when the band sends it to us.
Now back to their latest demo, the band had chosen to follow
the classic heavy metal paths with male main vocals and with
female backing vocals as an addition.
Even
if their compositions are well worked with some very interesting
ideas, the band had achieved to take your attention from the
opening track. They had done a very impressive combination
of the classic heavy metal elements with keyboards and the
almost dual vocals give us a view of theatrical act.
Last
but not least, I am really pleased with the attributes of
the band and I am sure they will give us a fine piece of heavy
metal with their newest release when it is ready.
