MXD
comes from Switzerland and not long ago they released their
newest album, which is their fourth so far, with the title
"Frustration is Fuel". So far the band has
more than seven years of existence and musically (at least
in their latest album - i haven't heard their previous releases)
falls in the electronic music genre, with some industrial
and some metal music elements. Generally the band did many
experiments with their sound and used a lot of combinations.
A very interesting addition is that this album was mastered
in New York by Howie Weinberg better known for his
work with artists such as Nirvana, Gorillaz
and Rammstein. For sure MXD didn't play
some traditional stuff of metal but they have some elements
from this music, basically they walk more in the electronic
and industrial music paths. All in all i can say that even
if the music direction of MXD isn't my cupt of tea,
i found some moments that i liked their stuff. I think that
you should hear some samples and you can form your own opinion
about the music from MXD.
