Even
if the band exists from 2001, Exile after four years
decided to record their first self financed work. Definitely
this thing depicts to us that this band had worked a lot and
hard in order to be satisfied from the result that's why they
needed four years in order to give something to us.
"Hours
Passed in Exile" is the title of their work and they
included ten tracks which are more than forty five minutes
in duration. After a small intro, the band gives us a clear
picture of what we will hear in the next minutes. 'Blood
red ink' starts with a simple but interesting keyboard
theme and then the voice of Christoph including all
the other instruments fills the room.
So
while the band gives us some well written compositions with
some very impressive ideas, the still need improvement. They
have reached a level that you can understand. They aren't
new comers but they did their best in this album. Personally
I was impressed by Florian who is the responsible for
the keyboards.
Last
but not least, the band had a flirt with progressive music,
so they added some touches from progressive metal. Generally,
the stuff from In Exile isn't only from one kind of
metal. They are open minded musicians and you can hear it
through their latest work.
