I
think that Burning Star records had found some really
quality bands from Holland, because the second release for
the end of 2005 was another Dutch band. This time we have
the new album from Her Enchantment, which has the title
"Darkest" and they have include ten tracks
and more than fifty minutes of pure melodic death metal. To
be honest with you, this is the first album that i have the
chance to hear the music from Her Enchantment. The
first thing that impressed me about them was the fact that
even if they are a death metal band, they have dual male and
female vocals. As you can imagine the male vocals are responsible
for the death metal growls and the female ones are definitely
more melodic. Her Enchantment is really brutal in some
moments during the album and the same times we have the voice
of Lucy which is like an oasis in the middle of the
desert. Even if it was the first time that i've heard the
music from them, after the first track i found myself head
banging with the rhythm of the music from Her Enchantment.
Last but not least, i see that almost all the releases from
Burning Star records have something to give to the
listener, from the progressive metal releases to the gothic
releases and the more extreme ones. Anyway one more time i
was impressed by the stuff that Her Enchantment delivers
through their album.
