It
is one of the best feelings when you see a band that in the
past you had written a bad or good review to have found a
label and to release their newest EP. Forces at Work
are a German act and I had reviewed one of their demos and
now I have in my hands one official release from them.
"Reverse
Feng Shui Audio Guide" is the title of this EP and
was released a few weeks ago through B Mind Records.
In this work the band included five tracks and almost an hour
of progressive metal.
Actually
Forces at Work are more than a progressive metal act;
maybe better description is experimental extreme metal. Look
here, musically they have a lot of progressive moments, with
complex and well worked compositions but also in the vocals
are a little bit more extreme than the usual progressive bands.
With
all these, I strongly believe that finally Forces at Work
had found their personal sound and what we hear in this work
is the personal sound of Forces at Work. Love them
or hate them this is what Forces at Work offers to
us.
