Even
if i don't know anything from this band, except that they
come from France, "Gates of Dawn" is their
third album so far. Because i was curious about their name
i found out that this name was taken from the film "Braveheart"
because it was the place where most battles took place. Ok
this is only some few things that we can learn for Falkirk.
But
the most important thing is the music that the band offers
to us with their newest work, which has thirteen tracks and
more than an hour of pure heavy metal music. The band has
some really common influences like Iron Maiden
and Helloween but they aren't bound by these
influences. The fact is that they have been able to put their
own personal sound inside their music and are open minded
musicians too.
So
if you pay attention to the whole album you will find some
few elements from thrash metal in the vein of Metallica
and even some modern metal elements too. A very good work
from these French guys and i hope they will continue to write
such good albums like their newest one.
