Dreamcatcher
hail from the beautiful land of Canada. Last year they released
their latest EP titled "Wanderer of the Ocean"
and they included five tracks and about twenty two minutes
full of melodic heavy / power metal. The band opens this release
with a moody intro track that continues into the next song...
After
that we get the chance to hear some well worked compositions,
full of keyboards in order to have an impressive atmosphere
and some well played guitar themes. Last but not least, we
have the beautiful voice of Jim, who takes the music
of Dreamcatcher and put it in another level.
I
can say that enjoy the time that I spend with Dreamcatcher
but I think they should put their personal sound inside their
music and try to be unique because they have choose to follow
a path that most of the bands plays the same and the same
again and generally we have a lot of clichés.
Definitely
I believe that if the band will continue to work hard and
try to have some ideas that will have something to say then
they will have made a step forward. I will wait in order to
hear their next step, which probably will be a full length
album
