I
had heard a song from Codeon on the "Iron Force
Vol.2" (Risestar Music) compilation CD and
i was really impressed with it. Of course i was more than
happy when i saw their first official mini CD from them with
the title "On My Side" which released through
Dies Irae Records. In this release, the band included
five tracks and believe me you should prepare for their debut
album in this year.
Codeon
also had a demo back in 2003 and again this band proves one
more time that Finland has one of the few quality metal scenes
in the world. Anyway back to the new release, in the thirty
minutes, which is the duration of this CD the band give to
us a clear picture of their music which is actually death
metal with a lot of modern metal elements.
With
this massive and aggressive sound i am sure that Codeon
will give to us a great debut album and all the fans of death
/ modern metal will adore it. Please don't forget this name
because we will hear from them in the future. Maybe a new
rising sun? Who knows but at least they are in the right way
to do it.
