Not long ago i received a package from Russia from the band Arteria. When i opened it i didn't expected to have the album from the solo project of famous Russian heavy metal multi-instrumentalist Sergey Terente'ev (ex-Aria, ex-Kipelov). First of all the lyrics and in their mother language and the English translation of the title is "Fly to the Light". This album has ten tracks and almost forty five minutes of pure melodic heavy metal. Maybe some of you will be disappointed by the foreign language, but believe me the music is so great that you will forget about the lyrics. The band plays heavy metal with a lot of melodies but the thing that make the difference is that they have include a lot of modern elements in their well worked compositions. There are a lot of elements from industrial music which fit perfectly and all the effects combine to create an excellent result. I can say that the stuff from Arteria was the last minute surprise for the 2005. Their very good musicianship leads you to the excellent songs. It is really hard to pick some highlights because each song has something to give to the listener. As i write this the band is preparing an album with lyrics in English language. I am sure they will come up with another great album and it will be a very nice surprise.
